This solar filters can be combined with almost all popular refractors.
In contrast to other H-alpha filter, this filter has no central obscuration (obstruction), which is a clear advantage in contrast behavior and represents the sharpness of the optics.
The production of this type of solar filters is therefore more difficult and more expensive than the filters, as with other manufacturers also have paid more attention here in the production of optical quality and mechanical accuracy.
The result is that larger filters of other manufacturers that cost the same or even more expensive, are not nearly with the sharpness and contrast can match this filter.
By the use of a second etalon filter, the spectral range is reduced to a half width of 0.5 Å. The prominences can not be seen as good, but the surface details are becoming hugely contrast. To observe the prominences, we can again simply unscrew the second etalon.
The package consists of a 100 mm Fabry-Perot etalon filter double-stack with a surface accuracy of lambda 1/100, use 20mm filters in a block 2” socket to the rear in the telescope, and a 2” -1.25” reducer.
Not included with an appropriate adapter plate for mounting the filter is in front of the lens. These are available by default on most major telescope manufacturers.
